Unfortunately it's a pain to get corrected as there is a sensor in the truck that makes the locks work perfectly when you get within 1000 feet of a service bay.
Just kidding, of course, but that's how it seems on my '99. Whenever the truck (black paint) sits in the sun, the locks on the sunny side won't work. Same for excessive cold, humidity, etc. at least one of the four will get wimpy and not function. Next day everything is fine.
Happens occasionally with the windows, too, but not as often.
I think the consensus is a problem with the actuators. There have been previous posts on this, and the labor involved in replacing them is not minimal (rivets, etc.). Cost is not minimal either. I bought an extended warranty for my truck and I believe that this problem will justify the price of the warranty when I finally get fed up enough to take it in for replacement parts.

: I'm having a strange problem with the power door locks on my 99 Suburban. When I press the power lock switch on the driver or passenger side doors, the front passenger lock always operates, but the rear door locks operate intermittently. Usually, they will lock, but will not unlock. I can see the manual locks trying to unlock (moving a bit), but they just won't pop up. As for the driver manual lock, it almost never functions when the power lock is cycled. Any ideas?
