Yup, got lots of email questioning, even accused of lying!
Haven't gotten that high in a while and think time for tune up. The works and do the brakes too. Good thing the Sub is no longer daily and only for trips or just for fun romps. Maxima gets 20-22 mpg city and haven't checked on highway, but computer says 27-38 mpg when on highway between errands.
Was doubting myself, but log every tank and if fill up off tank before or after would have had wacky MPG show up. Not so, they are all normal for the conditions, so know it's really 15.4-15.5 mpg. Many times but don't really remember how many...think about 5 times over a few years. One trip was to Monteray and cruising over 90mph over the mountains and back with 4 people (me and 3 gals to seminar so load was light).
Mine is 1996 3/4 ton GMC SLT Suburban K3500/7.4L/4.1/LT265-75R16 E on 16x10 alloys, now at about +148K miles. Effective diff ratio is around 3.9-3.8...but speedometer is dead nuts on when checked on roadside radar signs.
