Was on the road yesterday when I noticed the barn door lock wouldn't work. Salt had caused an oxidation film. Not wanting to leave it unlocked at the hotel and not wanting to buy a pacakge of steel wool, what will work? Tried scuffing with a leather work glove, no effect.
Ah Ha! Get one of the wet naps and try. Worked like a charm! Actuator functioned immediately, and again this mornong after sitting overnight.
This was a wet nap from a local chicken wing place; usually keep a couple in the driver's door pouch.
Will clean properly when I get home.
