On my '91 my radar detector is prone to blow the cigarette lighter fuse when I am unplugging. Some how shorts and blows fuse.
Ended up putting in two outlet plug (detector and hand held DVD player for trips) and just left it there.
Now just plug detector into two prong outlet and no more blown fuses when removing detector.
