Especially on used vehicles...don't know if previous owner(s) changed the gears or not.
RPO codes will tell what it came with from the factory, but not any changes.
Tape a length of string to the drive shaft. Mark a spot as datum.
Roll the vehilce one tire rev.
Count the number of whole turns. That is the first number of the diff ratio.
Fraction remaining is second half of diff ratio.
Makes not matter what sized tire, lifted or not, LS/locker/etc.
