I have two 16" electrtic chainsaws but find myself using my reciprocating (AKA Milwaukee sawzall) saw with tree trimming blade all the time for yard work. It is somewhat slower than a heavy duty chainsaw, but the blade lasts much longer than having to sharpen the chain. I also have a smaller reciprocating saw that allows one hand operation and I find that very useful when up on the ladder and trying to keep balance
Maz once fell 20 feet from a ladder, on his back, on concrete sidewalk, helping a neighbor trim a tree. Lucky to be walking again.
