HELP!!! I've got a 90 1/2 tone 4x4 suburban and me and my mechanic are stumped. The problem is the truck intermitantly dies, it could be anywhere, there seems to be no rhyme or reason. It logs a code 42 which comes up as Electronic spark control. My mechanic replaced, what he called "the computer" ( it was really expensive, along with several other smaller parts, I didn't ask him to elaborate, it didn't solve the problem and now he says he's stumped. The interesting part is, that this all happened about 3 days after I replaced the plugs/wires/cap/rotor which may have something to do with it. Any help anyone could offer would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
