If heavy foot and abundance of power, LS is best.
If you can modulate and "feel" the Eaton tossing in the switch, it's "better".
Most grenade the Eaton because they don't know how it works, and don't know HOW2 modulate the throttle.
The newer Eaton G80 has lower rmp differential switch point (200 RPM switch over point and too much energy at that speed differential.
Not a "soft" switchover point, but digital. Also not good if you want to spin the tires a lot. Busted G80 or axles and best with LS system.
I don't like LS systems as much anymore, as I've worn out all of mine and had to rebuild. Some time, most times the carrier housing has also worn and has to be replaced. I don't like the additional shims required, as it's a weakened housing and they can't get the reload "right" with shims (either too much or not enough).
My favorite is a Gleason (Tru-Trac) for any diff, but they are expensive and haven't heard of them in a while.
