I've got a 99 K2500 Sub, 7.4L 8600 GVW (no lift or anything). I am in need of pretty much a new brake system. Or rather, I want a new brake system: too many leaks, bad wear, etc.
Last summer I did the upgrade to Praise Dyno Stage II kit for front and rear (didn't get the drums, though). I need new calipers because mine seem to be sticking a bit. I need a new master cylinder and hydro-boost due to leaks that have developed in the last 3 months or so. GM wanted over $1000 to replace, but I figure I can do it myself and a lot cheaper.
So, has anyone done this much brake work on a 99 K2500?
I am looking for recommendations on calipers (loaded or bare, rebuilt, new).
Also, has anyone replaced the master cylinder and hydroboost? If so, with what? Stock, aftermarket?
Finally, since I am going to have it all apart anyway, I was going to put on stainless braided brake lines/hoses. I can't seem to find anyone that covers a 99. Russell Performance, SSBC, etc all go up to 98, skip 99, the continue with 00. Anyone done this? If so, what did you use? Do you have part numbers? Other recommendations?
