I don't allow it to load much more than the top few, or looking for something. Stop it before it goes much farther and then view today's stuff.
It's way too large and on a DSL line (no longer T1 line), so limited pipe.
Try clearing out your cookies, and anything saved by the browser. For sure if using IE and even Firefox or any other browser.
On the tire chock material, look at home construction sites for any left over beam ends. This one is around 4x10 or maybe 4x12 douglus fir.
