I looked in my Chilton's Manual and it looks like replacing a heater core in a 90 4wd is quite a job. Anybody try this? Currently, I have the flow short circuited - we had to do this to get home on a trip. Actually, it seemed to run a few degrees cooler this way. Will I do any damage with the heater core being closed off this way? Definitely need it replaced before winter however.
