I have a 1995 GMC Suburban (C1500) and the directions here worked on mine (I have an OBD-I diagnostics port right under the steering wheel with 12 pins but just 6 live wires). I found the directions in our archives. My 1994 Lesabre has the same 12-pin OBD-I plug but only 4 lives wires (perhaps because I have no keyless entry option on that vehicle??).
