I used to build test fixtures for ion engines at NASA, but never thought I'd see an ion engine in a car. We would eject mercury at close to the speed of light. Saturn Ion appears to have a cleaner powerplant.
I'm worried that a collision between a Honda Element and an Ion will create some kind of chain reaction. If the crash debris weighs less than the two intact vehicles, a tremendous amount of energy will be released.
Testing of this type has been banned, since there is no bikini atoll; normally a good thing.
It was disappointing to find out that putting a snowplow on an Avalanche did not result in perpetual motion, one of my other theories.
