New switch will fix the problem; about $35 on the web. I'd recommend Dal Slabaugh as an all-around great person with great prices & reasonable shipping. His email is lockitup@mail.bright.net
R&r of the switch is 15 minutes at the most & it's something you can do yourself.

: Last night while driving home from the office (stuck in traffic) I was pushing and pulling on the acutal switch and gauge trim and the light went on and of when I put pressure on the edge of the switch. Kinda like when a dash light goes on and off when going over bumps before it burns out for good.
: This confirms my suspicion that the actual relay switch is working (shifting the transfer case) but the indicator light is either suffering from a loose connection or the bulb is on the verge of burning out.
: I can live with it for now, but at some point I'll replace the entire switch, I guess.
