Can I reprogram the keyless entry system myself?

Woke up yesterday to a dead battery (barn door wasn't closed) and now none of my key fobs work. I remember that when I bought an extra one the tech had to program all of them at the same time; I guess he reset the code for the truck.

Anyway, is this something I can do myself or do I need a special GM gizmo to do this?
