Found the related thread at #1Son's site and it does appear that, while not necessary, addition of the "friction modifier" to the Mobil 1 shouldn't hurt anything.
John G.- Did you get a price on the 2001 tranny pan? Just wondering if it's worth the cost versus adding a drain plug to existing pan. (I assume this can be done.)
