Had a neighbor's dog knocking over my trash and tearing it up. Placed a bologna round with 1/16" cayenne pepper on it and wached "spot" down it in 2 bytes. That problem went away. Might not have worked on a Chihuahua.
Same family, new dog... Dog comes down when I'm working on the hotrods and steals my tools! Fetches them back to his yard. I put down a wrench and a minute later it's gone! (Sometimes it's just that I cant find them.) One day "fido" stole my roll of paper towels and devoured then at his own front porch. His owner put a whoopin on him and he stayed away until I moved.
(Neighbor who owned dogs was a chain saw sculptor who usually carved palm statues at home. Consensus was it would be wise not to make passes at his girlfriend.)
