: : I'd like to trick out the front of my Sub by painting the chrome grill the same color as the body. Is there any source for new grills...other than GM...in case I screw up the one on it or don't like the look?

Haven't started yet...merely in the planning stage. I guess I'll scuff it up with fine sandpaper, hit it with a good coat of generic autopaint type primer. Since my Sub is black, I think I can get away with using some of those spray cans of paint seen in most parts places. Black is pretty easy to match up. Not many different shades of black. Let's see...jet black, pitch black, black as night, etc. ;-)
After my first post, I did find some sources in the web. Looks like a couple hundred bucks or so. I think I'm gonna try it and take the risk. If it looks good, I'll be the envy of all Sub owners in the area. If it looks bad, I'm out a couple hundred bucks and have an extra grille.
