I don't think the '93 Model came with factory keyless entry (I think 95 was the first year - I could be wrong) If it is an option- the VIN won't tell you but the RPO Code Sticker in the glovebox will. (Don't ask me what code it is...)
Anyway I would recommend an aftermarket security system, or a GM add on system. A number of the systems out there are basically plug and play for that vehicle. (well there is a little bit of work to install them)
I did one in the 93 K1500 Sub that I had- got it from Crutchfiled (Crimegaurd) for about $150 and put it in myself in about 2 hours. No splicing of the factory wire harness.
