Bon Ami is very good at removing mineral spots. Wet the windshield & sprinkle it on...use a damp sponge to clean. Rinse with water. Rain-X will keep the spots away for a while, but you will need to redo the Bon Ami sooner or later. If you're in north Tejas, water is very hard & you'll see more spots.

: This Suburban is only a year old and I guess the water/rain here is really hard. I have tried Rain-X glass cleaner, Rain-X itself, regular glass cleaner. Is there anything that will get the spots off? In the evening when the sun is just right it's pretty hard to even see through the windshield. And if I get them off, will Rain-X or something keep this from happening again? Thanks.
