Side mirror replacement

New office has underground parking...dark 'cuz of the cheap lighting and tinted glass. Backing into a stall next to one of those concrete support pillars had me crush the right side and break the glass.

Thought about junk yard, but there's a Chevy dealership about four blocks away and I'm checking out the new suroundings anyway. Lucky I did and ask you folks to confirm.

Parts manager said there are 5-6 different suppliers and NOT all of the replacement glass assemblies will fit other vendors. Needed my VIN number. Price ranged from $45-$51 depending on which. Guess what? Mine is the $51, $56 total after tax & junk.

Is this true?

Pain to have to scrape off the special convex mirror I had glued on, but worth it to put it on the new one to have no blind spots on either side of the vehicle.
