Had some of that mirror goo get on my white paint before--what a pain to get off! It dries on there like contact cement, but seems even harder to get off. I had to virtually scrape it off (carefully!).
Then I found that I had missed a few spots--it got on the door handle surround, and when I managed to scrape that off, I noticed that it had stained the paint brown! Luckily it faded out--after a few days, but it did manage to soften the surround's paint, enough to cause it to chip a small speck off, when I scraped the goo off...
