Ring and Pinion noise seems to be the answer so says my mech friend and a few others. Went to diff web-link but thankfully no diagnosis posted fit my specific noise. Changed rear end oil and with closer inspection found some metal shaving and oil stress. A few horror stories of fried rear ends and a few who say it is not a normal sound to leave alone. Mech reccomends a new bearing/seal kit, running 300-400 bucks. Does this sound high and will it most likely cure the problem? Have a fairly well equipted shop but havnt torn a rear-end down. How difficult and how much time est. Worried about toasting it now. Thanks for comments.
