OK gang, I paid a little more attention to the temp gauge today, about as much as I could without wrecking.
Here's what I noticed, asuming the temp gauge is right.
Once reaching temp of about 180 it fluctuates about 10 deg +/- up and down all of the hills. Even going up the 2.5 mile steep hill at 70MPH. The problem is when I come to a stop and drive in slower heavier traffic. The temp gauge rises to around 210. It stays there long enough to make me feel uncomfortable and goes back down when I get through the stop and go traffic. The stop and go traffic is about 2 miles. Should I be worried about this?, should I go back to 195?, should I leave it be?, could I have a defective t-stat?
