We were shopping for a Travel trailer yesterday and found a steal of a deal on a 2001 closeout. Here's the problem:
GVWR: 6901 lbs
Tongue weight: 901 lbs
Tow vehicle would be a 97 k1500 burb

265/75/16 tires
I know my max towing is 6000 lbs. with a 500 lb tongue weight.The trailer has a dry weight of 4522 lbs. The salesman said that the Burb would tow it fine. He says with a load equalizing hitch, tandem axle trailer with trailer brakes, and careful loading, there would be no problems. I disagree and wanted your opinions.
