But with the high viscosity oil, there's more drag and the heating from it. Very high viscosity gear oil is for slow turning stuff. High speed gears don't do well with that high of an oil, IMHO.
Plus if you *need* that high of an oil, you are not geared right or setup right on other components for the job at hand.
