So I park the heavy duty Sub with the heavy duty aftermarket wheels and the new heavy duty load range E tires in the driveway this evening, and the valve stem on the front passenger tire blows off like a train whistle.
After replacing the wheel with the stock steel spare I noticed the nice, heavy duty valve stem the steel wheel has.
What do I need to look for in a valve stem for my alloy wheels? I don't think the type on the steel wheel would fit; it looks like a two piece thing screwed onto the wheel, whereas my alloys have a big open gap that the stems stick out of.
I never gave the stems much thought but I'm going Friday to have them all replaced. Any recommendations?
