After last week's thread about padlocking the tool box down to the cargo loop, I went home and started poking around. Under the old black Kenko bed liner (a veteran of one pickup and three Burbs) I found a big wet spot. (This probably proves the value of the more modern high-sided cargo liners.) No earthly idea of when or how it got wet, but it had to be a while because it was RANK with mouldy-musty smell. I let it dry in the sun for two days, then Sweetie gave me a spray bottle of Clorox "Fresh Care" odor remover. Spray on stinky area to saturate, let dry. It stunk of perfume for about 24 hours, then went away and took the musty stench with it. I've never had such good luck getting rid of that particular odor.
