My drivers side barn door has been getting hard to un-latch. Finally just wouldn't let go at the top no matter how hard I pulled and jiggled. So I took the plastic stuff off and looked at the upper mechanism - no way to adjust. I finally figured out to put a couple of tiny E-clips (I think they were 7/32) on the rod that links the handle to the latch just under the bend at the top - where it bears on the release trigger. If this makes no sense, you haven't looked at the mechanism yet. Works fine now, and the cost was 29 cents. GOD that feels good!
