This is interesting, I bet that would work in the fill hole,like you say fluid is flying all over the place so a reading would not be that hard to get. Similar to our Maytag Neptune clothes dryer (Mrs. BIG BLUE calls it the "fancy dancy dryin' machine") that has a moisture sensor on the inside wall and actually tells the dryer how dry the clothes are from the clothes rubbing against it on the spin around. Also, gives an LED type readout on the panel as to what the moisture inside is. So, as I digress, I think it's possible to fabricate what you mention.

: The fluid is flying all over in there. There will be "splash" onto the sensor element as long as it protrudes in past the plug. This could take some research to get the right plug, or maybe require a fabrcation.
