U-Joints? Rear end? Did you change all the fluids yet? I had a 1979 Datsun I drove to work, it had org. 70,000 after 17 years. It had some problems with radiator, shocks, etc. minor stuff. But I think it was because it sat a lot. I would do a normal maint. on it. Incl. change the fluid in the rear end, this way that can look at it for free :)
