You can check the wire to the right front by emptying your glove box, lowering the glove box (if you push in the sides, the box will pivot all the way out/down) and reaching up to feel if they are still connected.
However, it is much more likely that the speaker is blown; after all, it's a 3-1/2" 8 ohm delco special.
Removing the speakers involves taking off the entire dash pad, which is only a ten minute job to those who have practice 8-)...remove the defrost vent grilles and any screws beneath them (dashes changed year to year and you may find phillips, you may find 7mm) Remove the dash panel, as well as the trim panel below the dash panel that surrounds the steering column. Now follow the bottom of the dash panel across to the right, pulling screws which are tucked under the edge of the dash panel. One more small phillips on the right side of the panel, facing the passenger side door, and you're ready to slide the whole panel backwards-DO NOT PRY UP!!! there are slide clips on the bottom of the dash panel that slide forwards into slots on the dash!
You will then find three 7mm screws holding a cheesy little speaker bracket, or two screws and a slide in tab; remove the bracket and it's a lot easier to r/r the speakers instead of fighting them in the bracket.
While you're in there, if your truck was also equipped for a single (4X10) speaker in the middle of the dash, look arouund the stereo shops in your town and find a cheap speaker to mount up in that hole and you can connect it to the external speaker output of your cb radio; much better performance for those old fogies like me that still use one....
