So it's raining and 39° with the mecury crashing. Just got off the phone with MagHytec, and they agree on the decision of which size rear end I have. However they need to know how long the diff cover bolts are, so they can supply the new SS replacements for the new cover. I am to go out and pull a bolt and measure from the base of the nut to the end. They suspect it is metric, and I should look for an "M" on the head.
I am certainly not going out in this weather to pull my bolt. By any chance, does anybody know how long my bolt is? I guess by the time this is over it will be worthy of archive material.
By the way, good bunch at this company. Very good response by e-mail and phone. The only reason the cover is not shipped (ordered saturday night via internet) is they want to confirm bolt size. Seems to be another family business, like Praise Dyno. I have to get more information on the gear oil they like. I have already ordered a case of Amsoil, but would like to hear why they like their choice better for towing. I'll ask for information when I provide the bolt size.
