That's a good suggestion! Ther are some other static buster products that are designed to kill static in the dryer. Cling-free, etc. that ought to work just dandy if a light mist is applied to the cloth seats.
Another possibility is to try a cigarette lighter mounted air ionizer that are sold as air purifiers.
The problem is the low humidity. In the winter time when I pet the cat he sometimes draws and arc to his nose.
