Snow Plow option has 1 ton brakes and $$$$$$ for parts

Just back from talking to a local Chevy parts counter.

That $63.00 snow plow option is really a 1 ton front end, including the brakes.

The hub/rotor assembly (one piece) is a "1 ton utility" vehicle duty unit complete with two bearings & ABS gear. Normally
stocked, but today out and will take 3 working days. Cost: $495.00 EACH!!!

Part number: 15991989 & 15991988 (left and right, don't which is which).

The half shaft knuckle is "special" too, but he didn't have a partnumber (had asked if there were any "OTHER" wacko parts).

ART has quoted cryo hub/rotor, but too big for their machine to cut the radial slots. $495.00 EACH. I'll have to call as this info was left by
Dean on my voice while I was at Chevy parts counter.

Praise has issued a pickup for the rotors and they should be gone by the time I get home. John is one true gentleman throughout
this. He even quoted the $495.00 that they would have to pay, so recommended I get it elsewhere. Wish there were more like
him in the business.

Guess part of the reason I've considered my Sub's brakes were very good stock and GREAT with the Performance Friction pads.

More info as it comes in, as I'd like to see who else has the "snow plow" option. John said his contact refered to it as the "snow
king" components.
