to me anyway. Thats like saying if your tranny goes out then your engine is next to bite the dust. What exactly about the rear diff breaking causes the tranny to crash? If its the jarring or pounding then I say wouldn't that likely occur when your offroad in 4x4 situations. Or when your on the ice and perhaps skid then come across a patch of dry pavement which will certainly jar the whole vehicle. Inquiring minds want to know.
