Problematic that. I've left my other 4x4's on very steep hills knowing that the transfer case, diff's and hubs would al stay in gear. Only parking brake was risking coming back to find the vehicle a few miles "down" the hill. Present thermo actuator turns off when the ignition switch is turned off and you lose 4x4....
