Went from 3.73 to 4.10 gears in my 94 sub. Mileage was very minimal difference, like 1-2% at worst. Is really not even noticeable up to 75mph. Above 75 though the sub seems like it is a little thirstier. I know that is the case, so I am rarely above 75mph. It accelerates better, Definately pulls better(actually better towing mileage)with the 4.10's. My tire diameter is approx 29 also. The trans is a 4L60E, so the O/D really helps offset the 4.10 gearing. To give you an example, in 3rd(D)at 60mph I tach right at 2950rpm with the convertor locked up. In O/D I tach at 2500rpm at 70mph, at that setting the sub will pull down a consistant 17mpg+ if not towing. For this size of vehicle that is COMPLETELY acceptable with me. I will NEVER own a vehicle this size, with a gas engine, with anything lower then 4.10's ever again. I say get the 4.10's. Good luck --Tom
