2 stage compressor because it can keep up with the demands of air tools like sanders, grinders, drills, which you will likely use on the resoration of your Mustang. I've seen one at the Sears/Craftsman store. It is a standard 115 volt unit but the compressor is better suited for a continues supply of air. One guy I know was trying to sand and paint his car with a singe stage compressor and ended up having to stop every 5 minutes to let the tank build pressue back up because the sander and the paint gun used so much air. He ended up hooking up to compressors together which helped some but a single 2 stage would have done the job better.

: What air compressor would you or have you got and why? I'm looking for a general purpose one for my garage to work on Sub (rarely), vintage Mustang (a lot), and various household chores...
