Dino-Syn oil change in diffs, How to flush? Long

When changing over to synthetic fluid in the diffs, ... What was the procedure to get out the old gear lube? I know there would still be old oil in the tubes. You could leave the cover off for a month and it would never drain out all the way. I would like to do the change, just looking for some direction.
