Do not flush. No brake cleaner. No RTV. Do try to drain old fluid just after driving vehicle, so that maximum amount of crud is suspended in fluid and gets drained out.

: When changing over to synthetic fluid in the diffs, ... What was the procedure to get out the old gear lube? I know there would still be old oil in the tubes. You could leave the cover off for a month and it would never drain out all the way. I would like to do the change, just looking for some direction.
